DeckGaps
Guide

Using DeckGaps

You already know Magic. DeckGaps keeps the focus on cards, not busywork—so you can bridge the gap between your collection and the decks you want to play.

Three steps to faster brewing

DeckGaps is designed for repeatable, low-friction loops. Keep your collection synced, iterate on lists, and export what matters in seconds.

01

Save your collection once

Paste, upload, or import your canonical list under `app/user-collection/page.tsx`. DeckGaps stores it locally (and optionally in the cloud) so future analyses are instant.

02

Paste or load a deck

From the homepage, drop in any text-based list or load a saved deck. We normalize names automatically and match against your stored collection.

03

Review gaps and next steps

Check owned vs. missing counts, price lookups, card previews, and location allocations. Export everything you need or jump into the multi-deck and set collector tools.

Why players choose DeckGaps

Purpose-built for paper Magic and Commander players who track cards by name and need actionable lists fast.

Minimal, Card-First Workflow

Paste a deck list or upload a file and DeckGaps instantly tells you what you already own. No SKU or printing lookups—just the card names that matter during deck building.

Speed That Respects Your Time

Everything runs locally in your browser with IndexedDB storage. Saved decks, collection data, and allocations load in milliseconds so you can iterate without waiting.

Shareable Exports in One Click

Copy, download, or share full reports, TXT lists, and CSV files tailored for TCGplayer Mass Entry or playgroup planning. Mobile share sheets and clipboard fallbacks are built in.

Modern Styling, Zero Clutter

Readable typography, dark-friendly gradients, and adaptive layouts keep focus on decisions, not UI chrome. Tooltips, summaries, and card previews appear only when you need them.
